Even the best authors get help

Writing a book IS daunting

I’ve worked with some of the biggest names in media to craft ideas, content, and organizational workflows for books and communication packages. Together, we’ll build custom work-plans the exact same way for you.

Picking the right coach is one of the most important decisions you’ll make along the journey to a published book. Much more than a business commitment, it’s an investment of your trust, your ideas, and your time. No project conducted over many months is ever smooth at every turn, so it’s important to find a coach that you share chemistry with. Working as a team not only makes writing a book more fun, but it creates the conditions for you to produce your best material.

Emanating from a background in journalism, my coaching methods focus on engaging you with the right questions throughout the writing process. During 1-on-1 coaching sessions, informal interviews help to keep work on track, draw out new content, and create needed moments of levity along the way. This approach prioritizes fresh momentum week after week.

When additional support is useful, I bring the Open Boat Editing team, led by Evelyn Duffy - long time collaborator and assistant of The Washington Post’s legendary reporter, Bob Woodward. From research and fact-checking, to additional edits, the promise of the Open Boat network means there will never be a shortage of world-class resources to keep your project moving forward.

Whether you struggle with writing clearly, finishing projects, or simply keeping yourself on track, why not have a coach?
